4. THOMAS2 JOHNSON, Sr, (William1), born abt 1680 Isle of Wight Co., VA d bet 25 Apr 1744 & 8 May 1746 Isle of Wight Co., VA m Mary _________. On 26 April 1739, Thomas "T" Johnson of Nottaway Parish in Isle of Wight County sold Holladay Fort for 20 pounds current money of Virginia 185 acres where said Fort lived north of Hornet Swamp. Thomas, on 18 Feb 1722, patented 185 acres on north side of the Hornet Swamp in Isle of Wight County. He patented, on 24 Mar 1725, 250 acres on north side of Three Creeks on south side of Nottoway River in Isle of Wight County. Interesting John Dortch, on 23 Mar 1725 patented 145 acres on south side of Three Creeks. On 17 May 1740, Thomas Johnson Sr of Nottaway Parish made a deed of Gift to Thomas Johnson, Jr., of 83 acres north of Three Creks on Plowman’s Branch from patent of 250 acres. On 19 May 1740, Thomas Johnson, Sr of Nottoway Parish "Doth give and bequeath to John Johnson of the same Parish 83 acres north of Three Creeks adjoining Thomas Johnson, Jr., and Plowman’s Branch from the grant of 250 acres. On 22 May 1740, Thomas Johnson Sr, of Nottoway Parish "Doth give and bequeath" to Barneby Johnson of the same parish a gift of 100 acres north of Three Creeks at th mouth of Plowman’s Branch from the grant of 250 acres. On 22 July 1745, Thomas Johnson of Nottoway Parish, Planter, sold to Joseph Phillips for 18 pounds a tract of 125 acres of land south of Main Blackwater in Isle of Wight County. Thomas made his will in Isle of Wight County on 25 April 1744, and it was probated on 8 May 1746. He gave his son Joseph Johnson, 200 acres from the tract where he lived; his son Moses Johnson, a reversional interest in the home plantation, and his wife, Mary, use of the home plantation. Witneses were Joseph Johnson and Thomas Pate. On 8 May 1746, the estate was appraised by Timothy Thorpe, John Myrick, and John Thorpe, and the appraisal was signed by the widow Mary Johnson. + 9.iii. John Johnson d ca 1794 Southampton Co., VA m1st Ann ___, m2nd 17 Nov 1786 Eliza ___, m3rd 12 Apr 1788 Mourning Revill, m4th Mrs. Ann Atkins. He lived in Isle of Wight and Southampton Counties, VA.

+ 11. v. Joseph Johnson d 1789 Northampton Co., NC. He lived in Isle of Wight Co., VA before moving to Northampton Co., NC.
