Lewis Temple Leftwich Old Homeplace

William Thomas Leftwich Jr. bought the Leftwich farm home place from Patton Whitefield in 1862. The main part of the house and the barn is built with logs. The sheds were added later. This is where Lewis Temple & Tennessee "Tennie" Frances (Ensor) Leftwich’s children were born and raised. Located in Putnam Co., TN.

This old barn is located next to the old Lewis Temple Leftwich homeplace.
It was built with slave labor.
