The original homeplace of William Young & Elizabeth Huff, located between Buffalo Valley & Silver Point, Putnam Co., TN. It had been the residence of Hance Reeder & Melonee (Young) Reeder, granddaughter of John Harmon Young, 3rd son of William Young. Later it was occupied by Sam Bartlett, a great grandson of Mark Young, the 4th son of William Young. Some of the Young family members were buried in the front yard of this house, later being removed and relocated in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Baxter, TN.
