Ginny Sullivan and B. G. Smith

The late Pvt. 1st Class Julius Neal Carr was honored with a bronze marker to be placed on his grave site. The marker includes the words "Killed in Action - St. Germaine, France." Carr entered the military Jan. 13, 1943, and served until he was killed in action July 26, 1944, in St. Germaine. The marker was provided by the Dept. of Veterans' Affairs. On hand to accept the marker from B. G. Smith of Bart Gordon's office is the honoree's niece Ginny Sullivan, who accepts on behalf of the late Troy Newman Carr, (1929-2005) Cpl US Army, the honoree's brother.
